We all love a good burger! I on the other hand love and eat it more than
what’s good for me. I just get tired of McDonalds, Steers and Spur being the
only places to find a typical burger in this town. So for you newbies that don’t
really know where to find a good burger look no further!
‘Hudson’s Burger Joint’ in Kloof Street is the place for you!
‘There is nothing ordinary about
a Hudsons burger’.
Quality toppings and juicy house-ground beef patties that range from
180g or 250g is the norm.
Not in the mood for beef or don’t eat meat? No burger lover is left
out! Have a burger with a great chicken, ostrich or vegetarian patty.
A selection of delectable side orders of jalapeno poppers, beer
battered onions rings, fries or sweet potato crisps is something you can’t go
without! This really is gourmet burgers at its best.

Although Hudsons is the mecca of gourmet burgers there is nothing stiff
about the restaurant or its vibe! You are welcomed by old school music and
friendly/funky waitresses actually caring about their customers. The restaurant
is inspired by a typical American-style diner but still bursts with that modern
city life feel unique to Cape Town.
With great burgers come great drinks! To complete that real
unique Hudsons experience it’s a must to try some of the local beers like the
Jack Black draught with your meal! If a milkshake is more your thing then their
Peanut Butter milkshake is a must have!
The Original Royale 250g with a side order of crunchy fries
and a Jack Black draught is one of my personal favourites and it never lets me
down! The menu might be slightly more pricy than the average burger joint, but remember
this is NOT MacDonalds or Spur!
So go ahead and treat yourself! I recommend trying
Hudsons burgers at least once! You will be coming back hungry for more!
